    Hey everybody!

What's up with the SMF clone. Didja just get tired of their crash, or were there other reasons for the start up?

    Thanx for having me here.

1st place one out of three. I never did comps before last year. I never really cared to cook comps, but I yielded to prressure from a good many that thought I should.

We will prolly do 7 or 8 this year, and if we do, there will be more blue ribbons.

We did of total of 4 compslast year. The first was pretty much just an information foray. The second, we won first. we bested some teams like Habitual Smokers, Pellet Envy, Butcher's BBQ and others. The next one, we were short on equipment and didn't execute properly. The last one was at the end of the season and we tried something completely different and the judges panned it. I have no doubt that when properly executed, we will be in the top 5 or better every time. Of course, proper execution isn't necessarily as easy as it sounds.

We have one blue in three out of four categories, one in everything but ribs. I spose ribs will get the most attention at the next one, and at the rate things are going, there'll prolly be a blue ribbon there.

It was a tough year last year. We didn't use the same equipment at any 2 comps. We've pretty well stabilized on the equip now so maybe we'll finally get a routine down.

for those that don't cook comps, it's a whole different deal when you have to cook 4 categories and cook to a different schedule for each.

                              Do you cook competitions?
