That is to cool. I bet that would work on a lot of fish.

Thats pretty cool. I always wanted to make the trip to simcoe just never have. my dad liked to just scale and gut because the flavor was even better with bones in he said and you still have the ribs intact with this method, but we did do alot of filleting too

I use my electric knife for bigger white or hybrid bass, catfish and whatnot, but not for the little pan fish.

I even use my electric on the pan fish. Wish I could go fishing now. (insert smiley here).

I don't have an electric knife, but have used them and they are SWEET!
I fillet everything. I hate bones, and I have kids! Got tired of spending their whole meal peeling bones...

Took me a while to do a decent job on trout, but once you get the hang of it you can flat go through the fish.

Before filleting trout, we used to gut them up to the gills, then flip them over, holding the belly in your hand, stick your thumb in the mouth, snap it back over the back, and pull off the skin. Like the video, only going at it from the other side of the fish. Works great, but you still have all of those !@#$'ing bones!

I'll stick to filleting! but am definitely going to share this.
Thanks, Crusty!
