  • Any mods for the Brinkman 2 door vertical?

I rather impulsively bought one of these the other day. It's the little $69 job. I've been wanting a smoker I can hang meats in and thought this would at least give me something to tinker with while I decide If I want to commit to a permanent smokehouse in the yard or not. I am planning on seasoning it this weekend (I have 4 days off this week!) and was wondering what mods were recommended besides just taking the whole thing apart, rebuilding it and making it much larger out of thicker steel. Any help would be appreciated. I've never owned a vertical before, typically use an offset.

That looks simple enough. I even have time between appointments this a.m. to stop at Lowes. Thanks for the help!
