  • Doing ribs on a gas grill

Heading to the out laws in Chicago next weekend. He picked up a bunch of ribs for me to cook up. He has a large gas grill. Was thinking of putting a pie tin with some wood chunks in it to do them. Any other advice anyone has of doing them in this manner.

If you don't have a charcoal alternative, the gas fired units with a smoke box put out good products.

Nuther low cost alternative is aluminum foil. Just wrap up your chips in a couple layers of foil and toss it in, she'll smoke.
