  • Christmas in March

Got myself a late Christmas present. I always wanted one and I finally got one. It's a Splash Proof Thermapen "Yeah for me". I got the Zipper fast Yellow one and man theses things are quick. If you don't have one of these puppies you just got to, un freaking believable. Thanks SmokyOkie. I'm looking forward to using the crap out of it this year...lol

thought the yellow ones only worked with mustard ?

So why use these rather than a fixed probe ?

Ever jabbed youself with a meat thermo?

Plus, the probe tip is pretty protected. It locks in tight. And they ARE faster than any fixed I have seen.

What he said. Mine gets used whether I'm cooking outside or inside.

My wife even uses it. She used it the last time she made fudge.

So . . . I'm just sayin' . . . for those of you who are having a little trouble convincing the wife to let you buy one . . . it works GREAT as a candy thermometer too.

Maybe you should buy one for your wife and ask nicely if you can borrow it the next time you Q.
