Haven't posted anything in a while, so thought I'd add some of yesterdays dinner.
It was my son's 15th birthday, and this is what he requested. Rotisserie turkey, mashed potatoes & gravy, dressing, and my rendition of Lambert's throwed rolls.
So I made 2 loaves of sourdough bread. Some like to add water to the oven for a crisp crust, but I like a sweet sourdough anyway, so I up the sugar a bit, and the surface caramelizes and turns a nice crusty brown.
I used the loaf on the right to make croûtons.
Here they are after toasting.
Problem I have is that I forgot to take pics of the finished dressing, so you'll have to take my word for it.
Then I did the rolls. These are nice and fluffy, just like Lambert's Cafe.
Add a little butter and honey and they are to die for.
The turkey is (or will be) posted in the "from the kitchen" section.
