  • sesame chicken wings

    I love to dabble with asian food(to the the best of my limited knowledge). Had a hankering for some sesame wings so I throught ogether a nice sauce/glaze for my crispy wings. I like to toss the wings in flour then let sit for 20 min or so to really adhere to the wing and make a nice crispy coating for the sauce to stick to.
    I dont always have a recipe so this one is basically:
    carmelized sugar and asian black vinegar to make a base
    had some wonderful chicken stock from a soup last night so about a cup of that.
    Toasted garlic
    oyster sauce and a bit of soy and sesame oil.
    and a crap load of honey for sweetness
    reduced a bit and tightened with cornstarch
    finished with some toasted sesame seeds.






    Gave the smoker a break for today.

      well,they were either getting brined and maple glazed on the smoker or this way which turned out to be much faster

              Sweet.....I just found 6 packs frozen from trimming chickens last few months...Gonna give a bunch of the posted recipes a shot....

                yo bro... looks great... funny just got done making some orange chicken, guess where i found the recipie... youtube... your sesame chicken looks excellent, love asian food.
