  • Parisian smoker checkin in

I was refered here by a lil bird with pulled pork breath, and know a few members from "the other site", but for those who i dont know here is a lil bit of info. I started learning about smoking when i was 16 at a restaraunt that served mostly BBQ in Paris Il. That got me interested, and things snowballed from there. I have smoked pork, beef, birds, cheese, nuts and veggies. I have a GCSP, a Smoke Hollow, and an 8X4 trailer that will someday be the wheels for my Wang (wannabe Lang). I don't have alot of time to smoke right now, but but when I do, I try to make it count. I dont mind sharing recipies, infact I usually post them in my threads and put pics up, cause as most every1 knows, "No pics didnt happen." I look forward to meeting some new folks here and sharing ideas and smokes without the epic crashes that smf had

                      Hey -
Yall posted (someplace else and it got lost! ) that you had a VERY old bottle of bourbon or whiskey. Tax stamps on and never opened. Wondered if it was good.

                      Here's your answer.

According to Whiskey Professor David Mays, bourbon is different from wine in that once it's bottled, the aging process stops. So, the Knob Creek you purchase today will taste the same if you open it ten years from now. (But who can hold out that long?)

If you have a question about bourbon, or whiskey in general, don't forget you can get answers by sending an e-mail to David, Bernie or Steve in the "Ask the Professor" section at knobcreek.com.

P.S. I'd be honored to nominate you to be a Squire at Jack Daniels.
PM me if interested. I'll need some personal info for the nomination form.
