    The weather was nice here yesterday.Had a package of Flanken's thawed out in the fridge.They came from a steer my Uncle and I butchered.Marinated in Yoshidas for about 3 hrs.Put them on the Weber on high they cook pretty fast.Thanks for looking

      Dang those do look tasty.

                      Flankenstyle looks yummy to me! We don't have those around here... bummer, I have not found the yoshidas as well... I have beef rib and marinade envy now! I would love a taste!

                          If my supermarket didn't carry flanken, and I had a hankering for it, I'd look at Kosher (flanken soup) or Korean markets (galbi).

                          I have no idea about the middle of England, and a Google search shows the Kosher joints being west of LA. But, there are a couple of Asian markets worth checking out east of LA: the reviews of some of the smaller Korean markets weren't too positive, but there's 168 Market in Alhambra, Super King and 99 Ranch. Super King has clod roasts for $1.79/lb, so you'd probably not walk out of there empty handed...

                            Very nice. Growing up flanken style ribs is what we had when having ribs in our family.
                            A large BGE and a plethora of Weber kettles, and a bunch of cast iron... the finer things in life.
