    Howdy,

I'm new to the bbq forum/blog thing, don't usually spend much time on the "net" on this stuff. I'm interested in learning new things, or maybe showing somebody something new.

I own Bubba Bill's BBQ, I've been in businees for over 15 years, it started as a hobby and has grown over the years. I have only cooked in competition twice, the first time was 14 years ago, and I got third in ribs, and the second time was about 10 years ago, and it was a great learning experience to say the least, I don't even think I was good enough for last place. LOL

I have a custom made smoker in my concession trailer, I also have a custom made "tailgater" smoker, and a traeger COM200 smoker. I have 6 various cookers and homemade smokers on my back porch, I have 1 gas, 1 electric, 1 traeger, 1 brinkman double smoker, and a couple of homemade smokers. I think that I might be a "que" addict.

Hopefully this will give ya some insight,
    texokie

Welcome Texokie. Good to have another experienced and accomplished Pit Chef. The comps are fun, most do it for bragging rights, and being with the people around it. Sounds like your doing a BBQ business for the people contacts and a living. I envy you. I wish I could do the same here in Michigan, our economy is really tanked and that would really go well around here because there are way too few of those kind or resturaunts.

I am looking forward to your threads and expertise!
