Score! 430 more sq. inches space in Lang

Ok guys. I picked up 3 heavy gauge chrome steel bakers racks for 10 bucks each. I am going to weld two rods, front to back instead of across in my Lang and this will allow me to hang 2 of these racks across back to back for 430 more square inches of smoking space. Each rack measures 24x9x5 and are in good shape. Pics of the racks below. Of course they will be removable and double as meat totes. What do ya think?

Sounds like a cool idea. Beware of temperature differences at rack level though. Take some pics and report back how it works.

I use wireless therms and I have a stand type rack that has leggs that get in the way all to often. My lower rack always runs about 10-15 degrees cooler than where the therm is on the Langs door. I will take pics once finished of the mod and post em.

Ok. Scored a nice 6 ft tall shephards hook today from the wife. It is the correct diameter stock for the cross members with a bonus lantern hanger to be welded on the stack of the Lang. LOL. Only cost 2 honey dos and one IOU for some weed pullin in the flower bed.

I feel your pain with the weeds! Now anything outside of the garden or flowers, gets water softener pellets on it. Better than roundup (cheaper) & good for the environment!
