    bacon slicer

Damn good price (approx $340), judging by the phone number it's only 10 mins drive away.

Can't find any info on it online though. really need to find out size, not sure where I'd keep it - but sure am tempted.

ps. just spoken to the guy and he's going to go measure it up for me.
Apparently it's in a local post office

That's some slicer! Looks to be a well made unit, but dollar wise it's a bit to rich for my blood. Wonder why it's in the local post office?

I was thinking that - 'this parcels too long how about I slice a bit off this end for you sir ?'

      Anyway it's just too big.
      26 x 19 x 18.

Not only don't I have anywhere to store it (and it's not exactly easily moved by all accounts) got nowhere to use it either :-(

Price wise it really ought to be in the £500-1000 range. £199 is seriously cheap.

tempted to buy it anyway for when I've got a unit (opimist lol).

What size is the blade? I wouldn't even consides anything less than 10". That looks like an 8 or smaller.

          12inch blade
that's why I asked him to measure the thing it looks pretty reasonable, size wise, in the pics lol

tempted to pop round and see just how heavy it is.

Just had good look around and probably get something similiar new for £350 - £500.

Think I'll wait till I've got somewhere to use one. Sigh, lol

I do need a decent slicer - no question. But I need one I can use now as much as one for the future.

The one I currently have is a generic 8 inch, seen them being sold under dozens of different brand names.
Just won't slice evenly. blade wanders while slicing.
Unless it's very small or very soft, you just can't get an even slice. Plus it's just underpowered. Gets stuck a lot. Was only £40 - but I think I definitely got what i paid for lol

I need something inbetween what i have and the big commercial ones.

                Going to keep looking.

That would be a great slicer for a restaurant environment. It would also make a great slicer for a home environment, too!! If you get the sharpening wheels, too, it would last a home user TWO lifetimes!!
Wonder what the reserve is on it...$500 USD would be a steal for that!
