Well, I called it - planted the garden today.

20 Pablano's
24 New Mexico #6's
8 Jalepenos
4 Early Girl Tomatoes
2 Crook Necks
2 White Patty Pans
1 Watermelon
6 Rows of Olatha Sweet Corn

that goes along with a row of piss poor lettuce and beets... Bassman is going to find a different beet contractor next summer... two new rows of garlic, strawberry bed, and black raspberry thicket :thumb:

Here they are in no particular order

Another cool thing we did today was vist the Willow Bend Iris farm http://willowbendirisfarm.com. My wife is one hell of a flower lady, so we had to check it out. Turns out, we were about one week early.... but for the rest of you florests... here's some shots.

and my favorite - Oyez
http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy293/tgarchar/IMG_1161.jpg

Coolest thing was... the wife was shooting the breeze with the owner, and they got to talking about one of my wife's Iris's that literally smells like root beer... The lady went nuts! Apparently its official Iris Society name is "Ginger". The lady has been looking for over five years for a start... so being the very kind person my wife is, she just offered to GIVE her a start:faint:

aahh well... not making me any money in the yard... here's a picture of them

Cuz it's my garden.. I LOVE green chili and anchos, and ABT's. I only plant tomatos because the Mrs's likes them. She can also make one hell of a batch of salsa and spaghetti sauce too, if she feels like it.... mostly she feels like to just picking one or two to go with dinner - not worth the hassle of planting any more at my casa.

Personally, I just don't care for tomatos - look close - I could have gotten another 12 to 16 peppers in that wasted space!:faint:

What a wonderful garden! The iris are really beautiful, too. The iris farm takes me back to visiting a couple with my Grandma when I was a little girl.

:lol: You're a good man, Tracey, for putting those tomatoes out for your wife! :thumb:
