  • My chiles are off to a start

I only have a small area to plant, but I do the best with what I've got.
I have 8 Chichimeca jalapeno plants, 13 NM plants, 4 serrano, 4 bell peppers, and 2 cucumber plants.

This is my NM Lumbre plant.

This is a Chichimeca jalapeno plant.

    Gloria's Heartnad maters.

Thanks for checking out my summer hopefills. The NM Hatch chiles that I roast for the year won't arrive for about another 3 months. 75 lbs. will last us a year.Smoke and seeds forever.

Nice, Rich - love the lattice you have for your maters.

? for ya... do you have to weave them through it, or will they "vine" up it?

I've tried a bazillion different ways to may tomatoes easy, and just haven't found the right combo... I like your idea.

I either have to weave/poke the branches through the lattice, or tie them to the lattice. I haven't found any easy method, the maters just won't climb/vine up on their own, no matter how I threaten them...
