The difference between the 2 hinges is the one that Ken posted has a brass pin and the hinge from HardwareSource has a steel pin. I think that explains the price difference. Nice hinges by the way

Nope scroll down on kck site and it says this

"This 2-piece weld-on hinge is extremely popular because of its high weight load capacity as well as it professional appearance.
Ideal for gates, machinery doors, barbeque pits, electrical boxes, and trailers.
It can be welded on as a lift-off hinge or it can be permanently mounted.
Made from mild steel (1015) with a case hardened fixed Steel pin and a brass washer.
Weight rating shown is per hinge. Double it for 2 hinges and triple it for 3 hinges.
The "S-dimension" is the diameter plus the welding area. "

just like the hardware store...they are exactly the same hinges..diffirence is price that's all, oh and shipping is cheaper also

Take a look at the product specs under the picture. 3 out of the 4 have BRASS pins and the other one has a stainless steel pin. Moving right along...........
On Edit: I called Bob @KCK and he confirmed to me that indeed the hinge pins are brass. He had quite a few complaints about the steel pins seizing up, hence the change in material for the pin. The typo is actually at the bottom of the page and he said he will correct it.
