I have seen alot of comments on the new MES w/ the window.
I like it as i don't have to open the door to look .
I would not recomend this unit to someone that plans to smoke on it in low temp. climates as there is some heat loss thru the glass.
I live where cold is not a real problem so i enjoy the unit.
Here are some stats that i wrote down last sun during my smoke.
None of these thermos or probes have been tested yet.

no real time frames ,just when i thought about doing it.

Smoker warm up.
out side air temp 40deg , internal temp per mes readout , 136 deg . glass temp ( useing blue point lazer thermo.) 86 deg. Internal meat probe in mes 134 deg.

outside 41 deg. internal 266deg glass140 deg. probe267 deg.

outside 41deg internal 244 deg (adjusted temp)
glass 126 deg. probe 246 deg.

outside 50 deg. internall 226 glass 130 deg.
probe 226.
outside 50 internal 226 glass 125 deg
probe 224 deg.

final check , outside 55 deg. internal222
glass 116 deg Placed palm of hand on glass and about 5 seconds is all i could stand.

This smoke was done in a steady 15 - 20 mph north wind.

Would i buy another one ? Yes. great smoker easy to use and easy to clean.
that was my 5th smoke w/ this unit and i had to clean the glass after this one (1st cleaning).
would i recomend it to someone that had to smoke outside in the really cold weather ? No

I know my stick burner is allot easier to bring the temps up and maintain them when it's cold.

hope this may have helped someone make a decission.
