  • Chargriller mods

Got some pics of the mods on the Chargriller. Put in a baffle, moved the chimney and patched the hole. Want to do a couple more things, but it did ok on Sunday with a couple birds. Forgot to take a before pic. Had to get one of the internet.

Nice mods! I was gonna do that with mine, but went the tuning plate route instead.

how did the tuning plates work out? I put a water pan at the firebox end and it evened out the temp to within less than 10 degrees from end to end. next i'm going to put a hole to run thermometers through, extend the chimney down in the smoke chamber and add a rain cap. still trying to dial it in.

Nice HH. I am going to do the thermometer grommet and picked up a piece of pipe for the chimney extension this AM. I like the tires. That would be waaaayyyy easier to move. Thing got quite a bit heavier with all the steel plate in there.

You won't believe how easy it is to move around with those tires... it is worth the effort!

I'll have to give the tires a try.

I just scored a Char-Griller Duo off craigslist for real cheap. Needs some cleaning but should work out nicely, can't wait to give it a shot and do some modding.

Those tires are first on the list though, with some big ole tires this monster will be easy to stash while not using.
