  • French Toast fruit sandwhich

Not to sure where this should go so if ya need to move it please do

I know I haven’t been around for awhile but life is busy right now. But I did get some time to try out a new breakfast. It is a twist on French toast. First whip up some cream cheese, then spread it on 2 pieces of toast (texas thick cut is best). After that take some banana slices and strawberry slices and lay them on each piece. Then dip in a French toast batter and fry them up. Here are some pics for ya and thanks for lookin

    Bread and slices ready

Ready to flip together and get a drenching of French toast batter

All cooked up and drizzled with some maple syrup. If I had some powdered sugar I would have given it a light dusting

Thanks guys...these were great !!!!! with a syrup to sweeten things and the fruit to tone down the sweet it works out great. I think a sprinkle of powdered sugar would really make it even better. But boy was it a gigantic hit at the house....and thanks for the points !!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks all. I think some whip cream and a drizzle of strawberry sauce would do good as well. I can't take all the credit for this I was watching a cooking show and saw it made I'll tell you guys that but don't tell the misses

I'm not a real sweet eater either. I saw a recipe on-line a while back that was a baked french toast with peaches type of deal. I saved it, it looked so good. Haven't tried it. This blows that all to hell!

Thanks for sharing. I'll be trying this out on the grandkids shortly. Might as well live up to the title......right? Hehe.
