Picked up big bag of peas at the farmers market on Wednesday. Had to make some of Becky's sweet peas au gratin. About half in the pic. Wasn't sure how many I needed. Sliced and sauted a big vadalia onion. Mixed all the peas, one can of cream of mushroom soup, 2/3 of the onion, S&P, 8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese and a handful of shredded parmeson. Topped it with bread crumbs and on the grill between 350 and 400. This stuff is fantastic.
After an hour, tossed on the hamburger patty. Pulled the peas when I took the burger off. Assembled the melt with some old fashion potato bread, swiss cheese and the rest of the onions. Forgot how good these are.
It's been so hot, it was nice to have a little reprieve. Got dark by the time I ate and got chased inside by the misquitos, but I didn't mind. Man I'm full.
