    Some July Garden Pics

    Have some down time before garden party tonite.....It rained this morning for first time in 2 weeks....Been 7 weeks with 2 inch rain and very hot in mid-atlantic....I start every single plant in garden from seed everyyear.

    I action hoed entire garden during the week,so sorry for any crabgrass in pics taken before that...


    47 maters...30 for canning...Canners are starting to turn...

    Between Me,sis and brother we can about 200 quarts..









    4th of july tomatoe...I have been eating them since june24th..

    Took this pic 10 days ago of butternut and ornamental pumpkins(little ones) and Jack-o-lanterns

    Rabbitts took out first batch of butternut...I caged them and they only like tender first sprouts like beans



    Can barely see shed top from the maters blocking...Bout 300 feet away..



    Garden did real good in the mini-drought...Needed the inch plus of rain today...

        Its too bad,Alex, that you dont have enough time to really tend your garden...

        Just kidding...I struggle with me 1200 sq ft trying to keep it going like I used to...just getting old and lazy I guess...
