-1 16 oz. can ( I think they are 16 oz. anyway... the bog ones) of your desired pie filling. I prefer cherry, peach, or blueberry, but i'm sure just about any would do.
-1/2 box of white, yellow, or other desired dry cake mix. once again, i'm sure just about any would do.
-1 stick of butter/margarine. I prefer the latter, but to each his own.
-1 9" pie pan/plate.
1.) Take your can-o-fruit, and empty it into your pie plate.
2.) Take your box of cake mix and sprinkle on about 1/2 of it over the top of your newly created plate-o-fruit.
3.) take your stick-o-butter and slice it into chunks, about 1/2 tablespoon pats. place the pats-o-butter evenly over the top of the cake mix.
4.) place the plate-o-deliciousness into the oven at 350 F for about 30 minutes or until your fruit starts to boil a little bit.
5.) after the fruit boils a little along the edges, turn the broiler on and DON'T WALK AWAY!!!
6.) watch the crust... after it starts to brown, shut down the oven and pull it out. it will continue to cook a little bit on it's own. if you wait until it's "perfect" in the oven, it will be burnt on the plate.
if all goes acordding to plan, you end up with this little piece-o-heven:
if not, you end up with charcoal. lol

Andy
