  • Smokin corn question...

    I know the hardest part about smokin corn is keeping it lit...

    Now that I got that outta my system........

    Whats the best method for smokin corn...love it grilled but I got some room on the CG today...maybe enough for some corn...

    I've done a few batches and the way I was told to do it is like this. Pull back and remove all but the last first or second layer of husk. Remove all the silk hairs you can. Then give it a good brushing of garlic butter or your favorite rub and put the husks back over it.

    Back up. Remove about and 1 or so off the pointy end of the cob. Reason being is when you put the husk back over, you have some room to tie the ends shut. Take a piece of the removed pieces of husk and tear some strips from it, about 1/2" wide. Use this like string to tie the end of the husk around the cob shut.
    Smoke until done.

        Thanks Guys...Ill probably try this...I know I saw someone...Cowgirl I think...Wrapping it in bacon and smoing but my memory sometimes deceives me...

              yeah, sounds good. But i will take my corn smoky, thank you very much. You wrap it in bacon, no way will the smoke get to the corn.
