Last year, here in the upper midwest and several others areas of the country, we had cool temps with wet conditions. Lots of garden crops were lost to mold, viruses and such, mine included. Lost everything but the cabbage. This year, its like living in the tropics. Everything just exploded.

This is a pic of my Romas. They are on the left, 17 plants deep. Tomatillos on the right. Plants were set 3 feet apart and have just morphed into one big "hedge". There are 5' concrete wire mesh cages in there somewhere. They stand right now at 5 feet and will probably go another foot, maybe 2.

Romas starting to come in. There are 100's if not 1000's of them.

This was a small Tomatillo bush. Somewhere in there is a 4' tomato cage.

Kentucky bean pole. These are on 8' cattle panels that I put together for a trellis. Beans are just starting to come in. The plants already made it to the top and fell back over. I'd say most of the plants are 10-12 feet tall so far.

I also have several long greens, some habeneros, giant marchonnis, paprikas and a bunch of california hybrids just stating to come in.

I over did it a bit with some organic fertilizer and I think I may have screwed myself. Several of the plants have started to drop their leaves leaving only small fruits:eek:. We'll see if they recover.

Forgive the weeds. This garden was planted on what was once a dairy farm so there are many many weed seeds still around, but I'm trying:thumb:

Oh, I also have a boatload of watermelon, cantaloupe, butternut squash and some of those giant 1000# pumpkins coming up in another part of the property. Will post them when it's picking time.

Nice, real nice.
We are growing Aruba cubanelle's for the first time this year. Man those are growing machines. We've picked some that were every bit a foot long. They have a fantastic flavor too.
