Nice thick Rib Eyes

Doing this Sirloin Roast today for dinner tomorrow. Had to do something with it to eat on today. My wife is out for the day with friends.

Picked up 4 very thick Rib Eyes from the butcher today. a couple were for a friend to take home. I'm quickly becoming a cook for him it seems.


Nothing special just some onion and garlic powder, Seasoned Salt and CBP. Smoked some mushrooms and onions to saute and a couple potatoes.

Did I mention it's 70 degrees today. OH FRIGGIN JOY! This I can take.







a couple of hrs into the smoke for the rib eyes.



I'm finishing them up over direct heat on the weber. Did 2 of them already for my buddy. this is one for me. the last is still on the smoker.

Since I'm on my own today, i'm eating out in my shed.




Now I'm fat and sassy, reminds me of the belly shot I gotta put over in with the others. Just hope I can stay awake now to tend to the Roast.

Dawn, the one for me is med rare, the 2 I did for my buddy are medium ( at his request)

The other one is still on the smoker in a cool spot just sucking up smoke. will take that off soon. and finish up later for my wife.

Red, ya done good son. Nice to see ya had some beverages to go along with that steak and 70 degree weather. Ya gotta love the weather right now, ya just can't beat it. As I write this we are under a severe thunderstorm watch and just had heavy rain, half inch hail, got a free truck wash out of it.

Those are some real nice looking rib eyes. Wifes favorite steak. Kev yesterdays weather sure was nice except the wind love those 70* temps.

Great looking meal Kev. I liked everything except, THE 70 DEG!!!! Got close a few days ago, but now it's more ice and snow.
