  • Been A Bit...Some Garden Pics

Pretty average year overall....Havent lost a tomato or much of anything, but about 5 peppers...Cant complain...Been 99% on my last few years of peppers....

Right to left(garden is about 100 foot plus x60 foot...Completely covered at this point...Yellow in pics is sun thru the trees as it is setting...

Pie pumpkinn, watermelon and jack o lantern area with lemon cuccs in front...

Had 3 zuccs where the gap is...Vines from others will cover

Lemon cuccs in the foreground cages

    50 maters...38 for canning...Rows are 4x48 foot...Definetly going back too 5 foot between rows

Barely see my old mom in the back picking

Did my first small batch of canners sunday...Only 70 more to go

Pepper Patch(67)..I will do a seperate thread showing the variety

2 more zuccs and my fall beans, radishes, lettuces etc...Still have spring beans and leeks are doing great...

Butternut, ornamental pumpkin and some more pie pumpkin at far left of plot

    Halloween carvers getting big quick

This volunteer sunflower is on at least 24 head...The yellow finches love the immature seed heads

40 foot double row of snow peas planted from dried peas from spring...

Planted 14 brocolli and 14 brussels today...Will do onion sets in september and garlic in november...Basically canning and dehydrating peppers, plus turning compost for now on...

Beautiful garden, Alex! I really like seeing the canned goods start to appear. I have to buy my veggies from the farm market, but still do a couple bushels of tomatoes each year.

Thats a beauty garden, mine is over run with weeds, we got so much rain I couldn't even get in my garden for a month, some plants drowned, the weeds just loved it. My corn is winding down, tomatoes are just starting to ripen, cukes have exploded, squash and pumpkins are going crazy. Tater are weedy but I expect a good harvest. I'll have to take some pics at harvest. Like you family and friends do get their share of my bounty.

Great Garden, Mine is very dry. Last couple of years I ran 75 foot soaker hoses down some rows but never used it because too much rain. This year I didnt bother and dry.
