    Our First Call!!

    What a rush, to hear Hawg Heaven Smokin' BBQ called over the loud speakers... 5th place ribs... a CHECK and a trophy!!!!!!!!!! DANG!!

    We didn't expect it, and really thought we'd get a call in chicken this time. Missed a call by .0004 points... arrrgh... 11th place in that category. We totally screwed up in pork and brisket, as they both were overcooked and finished WAY ahead of schedule. We ended up in 39th in pork and 22nd in brisket. So, out of 47 teams, we ended up in 18th overall.

    Here's the results...

    All in all, it was a great time and a great experience. The folks that put it together did a helluva job... we're going back next year for sure!!

    My camera malfunctioned again, so I didn't get any pix, but my wife got some pix of the boxes with hers... I'll post them as soon as I can.

    CONGRATS buddy! Glad to hear. Now that the cherry's broken...I expect to read more posts like this?

                        Congratulations Phil and team! It was indeed a pleasure to meet you also. Loved your setup and all the Webers surrounding you.
                        Lang 36 Patio, a few Webers, 2 Eggs, plenty of gadgets and a MES 40 Gen 2.5 electric for bacon and sausage.
                        My best asset however is the inspiration from the members on this forum.
