We inherited a Farberware Open Hearth Broiler & Rotisserie a couple of years ago when my father in law passed away. Yesterday was a cold, rainy day so I decided to finally get it out and give it a go. Had to clean it up first...cleaned up real nice.
Fishawn was nice enough several months ago to copy the manual that came with his and send to me. It has some great recipes in it but yesterday I did a small rib roast. I picked up an almost 8lb rib roast at Kroger for just under $47.00. I cut 5 good size steaks off it and then trimmed up the small roast I had left. Simple seasoning...salt, fresh cracked pepper and a little rosemary. Put it on the rotisserie until it reached 140 internal then I let it rest for about 10 minutes. Wow! What a wonderful flavor the open hearth gave it! And there was NO splatters, NO mess, and EASY clean up!!! It took a little over 2 hours for the roast to reach 140. Here are some pics for your enjoyment.

Getting ready to take it off the rotisserie:
And on my plate. I got an end piece
