  • First Weber Cook - Thighs and Wings

    PICTURES COMPLETELY FOOBAR

Well considering I made it up as I went along the first cook did not turn out to bad. My Mad Hunky order came in Sat. so I decided to use the General Purpose rub, figured that smokey hot paprika would work well with my Dirty Jack Sauce. It did. Nice stuff there Rich

After reading some of the other posts and comments from another thread I did use briquets instead of lump. One of the reasons I joined was to learn new techniques and challange what I think I know.
    Anyway..here ya go

    Beautiful Day for a cook

Went down to the pantry for a jar of Dirty Jack and realized the last one went out the door. So I made a quick batch.

Glad ya dug the rub... you could even go a little heavier with it... it won't overpower your stuff.

You're hooked now, the kettle rocks, and you certainly did it justice. Nice looking first cook!

Looks like you did it up right ..... Also looks like a stick of wood on the briquettes? ...... Did you add some smoke to the chicken? .... If so, curious on what kind you used ?

Great looking first (or 900th) cook....

                      I gotta agree with Rich---on All !!!

                      Everything looks Great !!!----------

I was a little shy with my first use of Mad Hunky, because most of the guys on smoking forums like things hotter than we do, but I found MH to be just right for me.
