  • BBQ Chicken Pizza with added MH Pizza Shake

Well it has been a while since I have made a BBQ Chicken Pizza so I figured I would make one for tonight. I had some left over boneless chicken thighs that i smoked over cherry and they were given some MH Hot Whang at that time.... I chopped then up put them in the skillet with some BBQ E. Rudy's knock off and let it sizzle for a while...and let rest and cool.

    Made a homemade pizza crust..

    3/4 cup flower
    pack of yeast
    3/4 cup hot H20
pinch salt and table spoon sugar

    Mix and let rest.

    Spread out crust.
    Add ranch dressing

sprinkle on the MH pizza shake

top with cheese both Mozz. and cheddar.

    Add Chicken and onions

    Add a bit more cheddar.

Then place in the oven to allow the cheese to melt.

Then add rings of your favorite BBQ sauce and put back into oven until crust is golden brown!

Here she is right out of the oven... yummmmm

This is one of my favorite pizzas of all time... it is so so good!! Give it a try!! The MH pizza shake added some nice flavors to this pie!! Yet again the pizza shake comes through very nice!!

And a regular cheese for the kids...

Great lookin' pie, Bri! Glad the shake came thru for you. I'm still trying to figger out how to make it reasonably priced... but as you see... it does not take alot of it.

Probably offer it no cheese, and in 8 Oz packaging. Still gonna be pricy... dang.

I hear yeah... a little goes a long way and we can always add the parm/Romano when we get our hands on it... the flavors are great and it has many of uses... what is driving the cost on this product.. is it one particular ingredient or just the combo of whats in it?.... if one is there a more economical substitute?

            Man that looks kick ass.

Rich, for what it's worth, I usually buy this italian herb mix at penzy's and it is pricey...If this is similar I'd rather send the money to you...penzy's is only the herbs...no cheese in it and I'd be happy to add that myself.

That's the bitch... powdered tomato and vinegar are the main players here. Both are pricy. I just got 2 pounds of the vinegar in for stock... with shipping $15/Lb. Cost is aboot $11. And the mix is..well....let's say it's got a goodly amount in it. and 12% of the tomato at 11/Lb cost.

I don't really see much of a way to reduce cost and keep quality. Frustrating.

Good quality herbs and spices are not cheap...most people that like to cook understand this simple fact. I know there is a balancing act with rubs, but for more exotic and gourmet blends, you just gotta dig a little deeper.

Good looking pizza, Brian. I've never thought of using BBQ sauce on
pizza, but I'll try one next time.
