  • A new guy just tryin' to learn a little

    Mornin' Gents and Ladies,

After using the tips and knowledge on here for a little bit now, I thought the least I could do is join the forums and interact a lil' bit. Just a new guy here from Sacramento, CA still learning the ropes on a New Braunfels off-set and a Weber 22.5" WSM. Not sure if these are good beginner BBQ's or not but they were both free and given to me. And I've told myself I don't want to go electric until I know what I'm doing with fire and wood first. I've got friends who smoke and they'd look like a wet cat in a paper bag if they didn't have a power source or propane tank. Anyways, I gotta say, all the friendly and useful info that you folks provide on here is tremendously helpful and I'm happy to be a part of it now. So thank you!

                  Another Ks welcome...

You will be happier with the cookers you have than you will ever be with an electric....Well that's my opinion......Learn to master the fire and you will never be dependent on electricity...A couple of very good grills you got, and for free...Good food is in your future and these folks are here to help you learn
