Italian Sausage and a few Canned Items from the Garden

Well they were having the Italian fest here this past weekend and were pushing hard on TV and it had me wanting some Italian sausage and peppers. I had some great peppers from the garden So I figured why not.

So here we go. Look at the color on these peppers..


did up the sausage on the kettle. and did the peppers and onions over the hot coals.


made some fresh marinara, from the maters in the garden and basil as well, the other night and had some left over so why not add it to the meal.

Here was the first...


And earlier in the day a few quarts of salsa and a few jalapeno rings. It was a great meal!

I'll pass on the Zantac but definitely pass me one of those dogs. Great looking canned goods to. I'm working on my stock pile as we speak.

The canned peppers are so easy 50/50 mix of White vinegar/water bring to a boil and pour over cut peppers, add 1/2 teaspoon canning salt and a bay leaf!.. Process for ten minutes... toughest part is cutting the peppers....
