  • Couple Grillings - Green Chile Roasting and My turn at Sriracha Wings

The weather is finally breaking a little bit down here in Arizona. At least enough for me to light some charcoal up again.

A co-worker brought us a bag of Hatch Green Chiles from Las Cruces, NM. I didn't get pics of the roast. But they were fantastic this year. Roasted about 4, sweated, peeled and chopped up to put on top of some chix brezt.

    Gratuitious Egg Shot

Some italian dressing marinated chix. A piece of yellow chix. and asparagus. This diet is gonna kill me

    Now onto the wings...

Decided to try the vortex volcano chimney in the Egg

    Looftlightered

Avocado Oil, Kosher Salt & CBP only

This is my copy of Abelmans Sriracha sauce. I added 1/4 cup Yoshidas to mine. Also used sugar free orange marmalade and crushed up a few cloves of garlic

    Wings went on sauceless

    Flipped

Dipped once, and put back on

    Dipped again and finished up

Really liked these. The Orange was real strong when I tasted tested, but in the finish product it was just a hint. The sticky sauce on crispy wings was great

Looks great all the way around!

Couldn't have done better on the wings myself.

Looking at you BGE, looks like an XL. I have been thinking about getting that Vortex deal to try on the LG BGE I have.

What are your overall thoughts on it with the BGE and where did you get it/how much?

It all looks great. The wings are perfect.

That sauce is a favorite around here. Nothing wrong with tweaking it. My son and I do it all the time. Try different jellies or jams too.
