  • Chorizo Burgers

Needed to fix something for dinner last night and me and Mrs. Snarlingiron both agreed we would like a home made grilled burger. So, I gets a pound of hamburger thawed oot and realized I had a bit of me recently made chorizo in the fridge, so I mixed up the pound of burger with 1/3 lb of chorizo.

Added in some red onions, diced, some grated fresh garlic, kosher salt and pepper.

Made up some patties in the burger press.

Plunked em on the grill grates.

In aboot 10 minutes they looked like this:

Mixed some deli style brown mustard up with some pickled mustard seeds.

Added on some pickles, lettuce, red onion.

Finished Chorizo Burger ready to chow down.

    Thanks for lookin'.

These were really really good! Just enough chorizo to give it that nice chorizo flavor and the added fat from the chorizo was really good too the burger meat was 85/15, so it was real lean. Made really moist burgers. I cooked them to 140 IT. The mustard seeds give that nice poppity-pop when you bite down. I will most definitely do these again.
