Cincinnati Chili, Wings, Potato Skins, Nachos and Pizza Bagels that is what was for dinner at my Super Bowl Party
Made a pot of Cincinnati Chili (Gold Star) if you are from the area. Cheated this time and just used a flavor packet with all the spices in one dump... sometimes it is just easier and digging through the cabinet for everything. The key to making this right is to boil the meal in the water....yeah in know sounds nasty but it really breaks the meat up into really small pieces!!
Made some conies for the first plate, and then a "four way" the next day.
Okay now onto what I call the lazy man's tater skins... so here is what I do.. slice on the diagonal and coat with oil and into the toaster oven for a good hour at 350* then let cool. then into the hot oil for a fry, brown both sides and then top with cheddar and bacon and scallions.
Then onto the pizza bagels per the kids request. easy enough..
And for the wings. Rubbed with EVOO and a good healthy coating of MHHW and onto the smoker at 325* and used Franks Buffalo doctored with honey, worshy, and tiger sauce...it is a great wings sauce.
and for the second plate
Well it was a good meal, too bad the game was not any closer but I am happy for our Hawk fans and I feel for the Bronco fans... Now I can say my Bengals are Super Bowl bound once again!!
Thanks for looking and have a good night!!
