  • Just wingin it...No Sous Vide...No Vortex...No Hot Whang...

    Good grief...Is that even possible...

Wings were cooked direct over medium coals with a bit of skeet for some smoke...

Wings on the left were done with a rub that I am working on...

Wings on the right were done with my 3 part grillin sauce...

Sauce is one part butter (not margarine), one part BBQ sauce (not sweet baby rays), and one part beer (not Natty Lite)...The stuff is thin and burns easily so its sauce and turn sauce and turn sauce and turn...For about an hour till are wings have built up multiple layers of char and are stick and smoky...

Wings were perfectly done even without a Sous Vide contraption...Took considerably longer than the high heat of the vortex...And believe it or not they were pretty damn tasty even with out any Mad Hunky products at all...

    Thanks for lookin...

              Great looking wangs sir!!

BTW, I smoke food, I grill food, I cook food in weird ways... and I drink and I fart. I guess the latter makes me normal... sort of.

Some pretty good wings have been cooked a few times before I was even born... I have done the "layer" thing before. Heck... last month I did some "asian" style using sesame oil and oyster/soy/ginger concoction..very similar.
