  • First Time Comp

We finally got into the competition scene. It was a first annual and there were 26 teams competing. Won't find out until Monday how we stacked up overall, but here's what we turned in...

    The chicken.

    The ribs.
These were the best ribs I think I ever turned out. Was kind of bummed to not get a call...

    The pork.
Money muscle medallions and a pile of good barky pieces...

    And our brisket.
I wasn't very pleased with the flavor of my slices, but I thought I rocked the burnt ends, especially having never made them before.

So after no call in chicken, ribs or pork, we knew we had no chance with our brisket.

    We. Were. Wrong!

Extremely tired, but still extremely stoked!

Hahaha... that happens a lot... not being real happy with an entry and end up walking. As I have said many times before, us cooks are our own worst enemy

      Congrats guys! Nice looking boxes!
