Shaker caps for jars

I found these at Wal-Mart with the canning supply's. They come two in a box for $1.47. They fit regular mouth, canning jars. They seem to seal tight.

I will be at Wilberworld later today and I hope I can find them. Those will be way cool when shaking rub and stuff on ribs and briskets chickens ect.. A whole lot better than reaching in the plastic bags that most bulk hunker style rubs comes in.

I use the lid off an old Parmesan cheese jar and then put the original lid back on to ensure a tight seal

Looks like I might be coming out with shakers. I don't want to really, as it'll cost more...but some places just will not stock anything but them.

I have a ton of shakers...but sometimes use mason jars for storage. I picked up a couple packages at wally world today...they are pretty nice. Nice big holes for dispensing rubs. Good post....

Now for the rest of the story.

So the Wife (Big Bula Mae) want's to make a trip to WilberWorld to look for a new chair for our computer desk and I says ok also I want to check and see if they have some of these shaker caps you folks was talking about here on this thread. She says OK we'll look for them.

We get to the store and look for the chair, Can't seem to find it so we ask one of the sales associates and he said we don't carry them here. Big Bula is Pissed so she picks up some other stuff she can't live without and heads to the check stand and wait in line for it seams like forever, to say she was SLOW (the checker) is an understatement. Any way forgot to look for the shaker caps old age is kicking in I think . So I just ordered them from Amazon with free shipping.

Now as I getting ready to take a shower before bed and getting undressed in the bathroom I look in the mirror and notice that when I put my shirt on to go shopping (Had to change the one I was wearing because Bula says put a decent one on ) So I was in a big hurry and I had misbuttoned the shirt by two buttons and the one side was hanging way down on one side and on the top by the collar was way up on the other. Looked Really Stupid. You would of thought that My lovely wife would of mentioned it to me instead of letting me parade all over Omaha looking that way. She Always points out to me when I forget to zip the fly on my trousers ,LOL

So now here's the question Fellas. Should I report her to the authorities for Elder Abuse for not pointing out the shirt deal ?? Rookie07
