  • Frog Mat Review

So I purchased 4' of frog Mat the other day to make it easier to do fish and smaller meat like jerky. I loaded up a batch of kokanee on them this morning
So far I love hoe the fillets loaded up,before I either had to hang them with toothpicks or lay them on my racks, with are to wide and it would sag between the bars and make it a pain too free the fillets from the bars. They are air drying for a bit then headed for an evening smoke. I will report back later.uploadfromtaptalk1407874762162.jpguploadfromtaptalk1407874769025.jpg

I like mine... I use them for a variety of things.. work great with smaller things that would fall through the grates, works great for meatloaf, works great for jerky and works awesome with fish. Frogmats or Q-Mats are a great addition to anyone's smoking arsenal.

The place I bought it from claims easy soap and water clean up. They should hold up fine in my smoker, my head source is quite a ways from my racks.

I love this stuff, I will purchase more when the budget allows. Super easy cleanup and the fish came right off.

I throw mine into the dishwasher and they clean up nicely. You can wash them by hand with soap and water, I just find it easier to do them in the dishwasher.

so why do you call them frogmats ?

I buy them from the poundshop (about $1.60) same thing, just no frogs :-)
