  • The Re-Org: Herb and rub mason jar project

My wife loves to organize stuff and she decided that my rubs, brines, seasonings, etc that were in the pantry needed to be re-done. While we were at Wally world, we found some ball mason jars and herb shaker lids that we decided would make great storage for all of the bbq rubs and such. I found a rack that I installed on the back of the pantry door that would be used to hold the jars.

We made labels for the jars and then moved all of the rubs, etc into the jars.

I think that it turned out really good and the shaker tops seal really well and just flip up when you need to shake out some of the mixes or seasonings.

    Thanks for looking

Thank you Becky! It freed up some shelf space in the pantry.. so now I can make some more salsa, tomato sauce, pepper jelly...

Thank you Jeanie! Using the space on the door was a good idea. I put another rack below the spice one that has all of the ziplocks, vacuum bags, etc.... which really helped with space utilization.

Need the logo for future labels? "Classic" or "modern?

Good project... I dropped a jar of honey on my foot the other day going for the sesame oil... OW!

Thanks Rich. The labels were pretty generic... next ones will have some logos on them....

Thanks Pete! These labels worked, but not perfectly. They were some left over Avery labels that I had... next ones will be more rectangular so they fit the curve of the jars better.... but at least we got something on them
