  • A Tri Tip Sandwich

Used the leftovers from a reverse seared tri tip...
    http://www.smoked-meat.com/forum/sho...933#post535933

made a couple of big biscuits first.

fried some of my home canned green tomatoes from the garden...

    did the double dip.
seasoned flour, egg/milk wash, seasoned flour, egg wash, then panko

started with a fried green tomato...

then warmed some of the tri tip and added caramelized onions...

slathered the lid with a kicked up mayo, then topped the tri tip with an egg..

Didn't take me long to realize I could't take a bite. Had to lay the thing down and use my knife and fork...

It was messy but tasty. :)

    Thanks for looking!

Here's more on the green tomatoes... http://cowgirlscountry.blogspot.com/...or-frying.html

I add lemon juice and salt to the jars and just waterbath can them.
To cook I just drain them, season with salt and pepper then the eggwash/milk/seasoned flour/panko treatment. I like them fried in bacon drippings until crisp.

They're handy to have during the winter when green tomatoes are hard to find. :)
