Rich, THANK YOU, this rocks! Living and working in T-town most of my life we got a lot of exposure to Hungarian and Polish foods when I was a kid and growing up. You know how I feel about those Packo Pickles. Over Christmas when we were packing up my mom's stuff down in Florida we came across a bunch of recipes she had collected over the years, she had a separate box for each, Polish and Hungarian. Now these to add to the collection, I may end up changing my ethnicity through food.

        Thanks Again!

          Cool !!

I believe that outfit is from mostly "Hazleton & East Pittsburgh, PA".

Pa has an awful lot of Hunkys, including my best friend "Hunky Jack".

This is way cool! I grew up in an ethnically diverse area and many of my friends were Hungarian. They lived in a section of town known locally as Gypsy Springs. Perhaps more importantly, so did their mothers and grandmothers. The meals I ate in those kitchen were the some of the best I've ever had

                    Re:

Thanks Rich, that's nice of you to share.

In Firefox, when you left click Downloads (top of list under Tools)

You'll see THR Pt 1,2,3 Right click. Pt1 and second down on menu is
"Open Containing Folder". This will launch a Temp Folders window where you will find the .zip files you clicked on in Rich's post.

You'll need to have a .Zip wizard ap and there are many free ones.

Here's one I like to use by Coffee Cup freewares. "Zip Wizard 3.0"

                    http://www.coffeecup.com/zip-wizard/

Then when you find the THR 1, 2, 3 files you left click on one of them. This will launch the Zip wizard and you will then select "Unzip" a file.
Then click Next. You will get a window that says Open. Find your name and left click it, next find and left click "AppData". Next find "Local" and left click it. Then you'll find "Temp" and left click it.

Your path will look like this:

                    C:\Users\eDJ (on my computer)\AppData\Local\Temp

This will launch an "Open" box where at the bottom you'll find your THR 1, 2, & 3 zipped files. Now Left click on THR Pt1 and the Unzip wizard will pop up again. Select unzip Pt 1 and next. A box will open displaying the files and you will click OPEN. The next box should be checked to indicate "open all files" and "use folder names" (so you can find them) LOL Then click the "Un-Zip" button. The files will be open and you may get another pop up that says..."This folder does not exist. Would you like to create it ?" Click YES. Then the next pop up will offer you the choice to open the folder where you can read the pages of Rich's book.

Remember, these will be located in the "temp" folder" list, but you could copy them to another folder you would create in "My Documents".

I'm in Vista Home Premium OS. This may vary in your Windows version.

I find the Potato Donut recipe interesting and want to try it out.

I've converted the individual photographs to a single PDF file. Only problem is the site has a file size restriction on PDF files. Since this is made from photographs instead of text pages, it's about a 52mb file at 300x300 dpi.

Rich, is there some way I can get the PDF to you to post?

I've made a better conversion of the original book. I converted it to B&W, and then to a PDF compressed for smallest size. It just fits under the limits for a PDF upload. So I'm adding a link to the B&W (better) version to the original post I made. It is also uploaded further in this thread (which is why I had to link to the U/L as it only lets you add a file once).
