  • Tatonka lamb loin chops

Picked these chops up in Lincoln after buying the grill. Wife has class tonight so she was perfectly fine with me having these tonight. Turned the GMG on and let the temp at 150. Placed the chops on. Notice the greasy drip pan.

Ran the maverick to check temps, hmm 50 degree's hotter than should be. Tested with 3 probes. All right at 200. Even temps all across and it didn't fluctuate so I was happy with that. Just not with the higher temp. May call and see if that's normal or maybe I got a bad sensor. Needed some veggies. Threw on a frog mat and dumped some frozed veggies on. We'll see how this goes. Dusted them with some pizza shake and sprayed with EVOO. Threw on some garlic bread. When lamb hit 120 I took it off and cranked the heat to 500. Let's put it this way, no more grease on the drip pan saved the veggies and bread but not sure about the mat. Once I had fire under control I seared the chops.
    My plate

Only third time I've had lamb. I really liked this. The T-dust paired perfectly. The wife would've liked it, Nolan ate a whole chop too. If I could get it around here in the store's I'd buy it very often. Thanks for looking!

Looks great Ryan, should of dropped me off a couple why you were here. I scrape my diffuser plate every couple of cooks with a plastic putty knife. I use to foil til I had some issues with it blocking airflow and fluctuating temps

I picked these up at the super saver by 56 and old Cheney. The plate looked clean when I bought it, haven't cooked anything to greasy. But yeah I'll be cleaning it every cook now for awhile

Damn right down the road. Hopefully you can get your temp figured out. I've heard they have good customer service, could just be a bad thermocoupler
