Hello from Omaha. I am a new member. Discovered this site while looking for tips on smoking a rump roast (3.5 lbs). I had a Traeger pellot grill for about 9 years. I recently purchased an Akorn Kamado grill. I have only done 2 smokes and some grilling. 1st smoke was St Louis style ribs and turned out great! 2nd smoke was a whole cut up chicken and sweet corn. Both were very delicious.

Personally I love food off both a pellet grill or cooked over charcoal. I would not say charcoal is an improvement in flavor over a pellet grill though...

OK. We'll agree to disagree. Too many variables involved. And you run an Amazin' typically ;{)
