Players, and coaching, or lack of coaching of some players resulted in another playoff loss. Was an exciting, eventful game to watch for sure. Not a Pitt fan at all, in any way, butt who's to blame for this? Coaches? Players? Poor choice of character players? All of these? Idunno...... I was pissed to see this unfold.

That was a helluva last quarter of footsball... Vontaze Burfict (an ASU alum) went from hero to heel... First he makes an interception which should have locked things up for Cincy late in the game, then Spitzburg recovers a fumble & has new life. A few plays later Burfict makes a bad hit, Pacman bumps an Official & all of a sudden Spitzburg kicks a game winning FG. When Burfict was at ASU he was known as a hothead & was penalized accordingly - helluva player if he keeps his head on his shoulders though.

Coach should pull players that are getting out of line after a stern warning. Then kick their bag over their shoulder. That will get their attention and avoid more poor behavior. All I was thinking was "man I wish I was the coach".

I think the issue started to arise 10-15 years back. It seems that the players, and the owners who pay them, have more influence on the coaching decisions than the coach often does..... No owner wants to have a player sit out a game and still pay him $750K to do it, because he was naughty......

It won't be long, and between all the concussion protocol, and ego engorgement, the NFL will be reduced to something similar to WWE.......

I hope you are wrong on this, but I kinda think somewhere in the middle of what the NFL is now, and what you stated might be what happens

I agree with what a friend said, the refs cost them that game. In the third quarter there were to skirmishes/fights and not a single dam flag or ejection. The refs didn't have control of the game. That being said grown men should be able to control themselves better than that.

On another note. I told the wife after Cincy scored the go ahead TD, "you just watch, big Ben will come in on the last drive and lead them down to score". I don't know,.but these games are getting easier to predict what'll happen in the last 2 minutes.

Burfict should be fined, suspended & banned. He is dangerous & doesn't GAS about other players safety. BUT, it is all about the money & he will get to play because there are guys like Jerry Jones who will hire him and not care about what he does to others. They just want wins & more money. That last few minutes were hard to watch. I hate Pittsburg & wanted Cinn to win but after seeing the actions of the Cincy players, I am glad they lost.

First NFL game I have ever watched where I wished both teams could lose.

Coaches are supposed to have high enough values and instill enough discipline to prevent such crap. Marvin should have sat Burfict but the Steelers had coaches inciting the madness. That's worse in my book.
