  • My Labor Day Grub...

Well I think I've thrown the last of the vagrants outta my house ( unless my brother is passed out in a bathtub somewhere ). So I thought I would share with you my labor day feast. Went to Sams Friday and got case price on some bonless loins $1.38 a lb. So I decided to stuff half of one, and marinade some center cut chops...

Cut a nice roast off one

Rollcut the roast to bout 3/4 thick

Cut some nice 1" chops n got em in marinade.

    Apple Juice
    Soy Sauce
    Lemon Pepper Seasoning
    Fresh Minced Garlic

Threw the chops in the fridge, and started the Apple stuffing for the loin.

Got some wings going for an apetizer.

    Rubbed with evoo

    Dusted with some chicken rub

    Plated Wings...Yummy

Finished the stuffing while everything else was going on and let it sit for awhile to get caught up. Once everybody started eatin the appetizers I was ready to get back to stuffing the loin.

Here's a how-to pic for Rich. Properly trussed

And the finish..lol. memory card was full, had to put the rest on another card

Anyways after I rolled n trussed the loin, I rubbed it with evoo, sea salt, cbp, and a little granulated garlic.

Here's the loin on the grill after 45 minutes just before I mopped.

        IMG_0818.jpg

Brought it up to 150 internal then tossed it on the weber to carmelize the glaze I was using

        IMG_0821.jpg

Tented in foil for about 20-30 mins then sliced

        IMG_0822.jpg

Finished up the chops while the loin was restin n we pigged out...literally

        IMG_0823.jpg

Hope ya'll enjoyed yer Labor day.

Thanks for the comments folks the food was pretty damn tasty. My little buddy Rich was responsible for the stuffed loin. It's been a while since I did one, and I saw his post a couple weeks on the one he did so I figured I'd do it. I get tired of the same ol stuff, so this was all a little mixed up for a change.
