  • Needed...... Potatoe Ideas ?

Oldest is coming home from school this weekend, and some of his buddies are coming over for some hanging oot time. Gonna grill/smoke 11lbs of boneless/skinless chicken thigh, and picked up a 10 lb bag of potatoes, and some beans for em.

Looking for some ideas for a side dish to serve em. Maybe something different, and hopefully easy, butt will consider anything.

Need some ideas..... What ya got?

Hasselbacks......I did a thread way back on these and those were very basic.

Put whatever you want between the slices and cut the slices as thick or thin as you want but don't forget the wooden spoons.

You can grill, smoke, or oven bake then to boot.

I think this might even ring a bell if you see who responded

yes, I remember. Have made them a few thymes since, and they always rock! Was my first thought also, just wondering if anybody had anything new/digferent. Though, these would probably be pretty cool for the 21-22 year old crowd

Scott, you don't need my help. I see you bumped an oldie.

I never read it to the end when i suggested it but you rocked with that valley cut.

              Touche!

It had been a while since your post Pete, and definitely worth a bump . I figured it is definitely oot of the ordinary for a daily cook for most, and a great way to prepare potatoes! Maybe some newer folks could see it and utilize it in their arsenal. Not sure how motivated I will be tomorrow afternoon, butt maybe a few beers will get me fired up to do em

I also like Driedstick's Jalapeno au grauten (sp?)

Homemade potato chips with some of your jalapeno salt would make a great combo.

Hasselbacks. Or, a spicy potato salad... This is really good.

                      Drinks well with others
