  • Crumbly corn bread

I've finally settled on a corn bread recipe that I love. The flavor is EXACTLY what I have been searching for. Only issue I have now is it's still kind of crumbly if that makes any sense. Not dry, just seems to fall apart when you try to spread butter on it.

What can I do to help with this?

Every corn bread I remember having has been a lil crumbly soooo... Probably needs some sort of binder, egg perhaps???

The recipe I make has a ton of butter in it, doesn't crumble much.

My best asset however is the inspiration from the members on this forum.

binder...try a bit more egg like Ice suggested. I base this on the suggested binders for gluten free bread...and egg is the only one that sounded good to me, because I ain't putting no damn chia seeds in my cornbread! Take a look at the options they suggested... LINK

I consider cornbread a sponge...for butter and honey! Damn that's good.
