I usually just use ground beef from the store since I don't have a grinder...Well except for a lil hand grinder...

nothing fancy here.... ground beef from the store, dump some stuff in, make patties. Usually depends on what I feel like. Generally some combination of: tatonka dust, seasoned salt, pepper, garlic, mad hunky general purpose, powdered mustard, regular mustard, worcestershire sauce, steak sauce, anything else that looks good at the time, etc.

Sam - Nothing too special with my burgers: ground beef, add an egg as binder & a little NFDM for moisture retention (this gets it pretty tacky) and whatever seasonings you like.

                              from WA

I like 80/20 ground beef. I like em medium rare, while the wife unit like Hockey Pucks I have heard a lot of pro chefs say don't mix them too much or form them really tight, so I try to follow that as well.

Personally, I think I like the patty fried a little more than grilled, butt both are good.

IMO, the buns, cheese, additional toppings and condiments really make a good burger great. Buttered lightly grilled quality bun, Tillamook Cheddar, thick slice of Tomato, Lettuce, Dill Pickle chips, Bacon, Mayo and light Ketchup. Oh, and lots of napkins, and a beer.
