  • Anybody for a little hot, sweet & savory?

These are a very popular little bite that I have prepared on a couple of occasions which can be served neatly from a slow cooker or crock pot.

I've got my recipe jotted down somewheres and will attach it once I find it, but I'm thinking these pics will serve to get the idea across... as well as hopefully get a few mouths a'watering.

Always a great treat. I can eat them alone as a meal.

Hopefully this will paste correctly below...

Bacon-Wrapped Cream Cheese Stuffed Jalapeño Poppers

            Ingredients

12 medium large or 14 medium sized whole fresh Jalapeño peppers.
1 – 8 ounce package of cream cheese, softened.
1 tsp. McCormick Grill Mates Molasses Bacon seasoning.
1 tsp. McCormick Grill Mates Smokehouse Maple seasoning.
1/8th tsp. McCormick Gourmet Sriracha seasoning.
            1/8th tsp. smoked paprika powder
3 TBSP. pure maple syrup, amber or darker (the REAL stuff).
2-3 drops of liquid smoke seasoning.
1 pound of sliced bacon, cut in half for enough slices to wrap each pepper half.

            Instructions

            1. Wash peppers. Dry, cut stem ends & cut in half lengthwise. Remove seeds and ribs with a spoon saving 3-4 of the ribs for mincing. Refrigerate covered until ready to assemble.
            2. Once cream cheese is softened but still cold add dry seasonings and mix with a spatula. Finely mince the jalapeño ribs, add them to the cheese mixture along with the wet ingredients and mix until everything is well incorporated and smooth. Refrigerate to allow flavors to blend for at least 2 hours.
            3. Assemble the poppers by filling each half with cheese mixture and wrapping in a spiral fashion with bacon from tip to open end. Secure lengthwise with a toothpick.
            4. Arrange poppers cut side up on a foil lined baking sheet or rimmed baking pan.
            5. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or longer, or until bacon has crisped.
            6. Allow them to cool briefly (no longer than 5 minutes) if serving immediately.

            Notes

**Using a cooling rack on top of the baking sheet to elevate the poppers will help evenly crisp the bacon all around.
**If cooking out on charcoal grill cover with a cake pan larger in perimeter than the baking sheet to help speed and even out the cooking process.
**In an oven running the broiler on high for the last 3 minutes will crisp the bacon.

So does anyone know of a thread on linking or adding Photobucket images to a post?

I see now that the 2 pictures I added to my OP are being displayed as "click here to see image" hotlinks which take me to my Photobucket album, but the pictures themselves are never viewable as they never load to be seen.

                Help??
