Just bought 12 pounds of Angus strip loin...For $2.75/lb...I'll find out tomorrow when I cut it up if I got good steaks or stew meat...

      Also got a 4# butt tender...Uh huh...Fillets for less than 7 bucks a pound...

My job sucks but this is a "benefit" that I do take advantage of...

Good prices I just paid $2.50 a pound for chicken drumsticks (Nolan's favorite and he eats 3-4) and opened them and they had a rotten smell.

Already called, they said bring them back. Umm the dogs are eating them already still getting a refund. Used to be a good meat department, the head guy left and now not so much.

I work for a global corp that is into the food industry on every level imaginable...
Specifically I work in a feed manufacturing facility that provides animal nutrition all over the mid west, into Texas, Oklahoma, and even as far as California...Same company owns large feedlots and butchering operations...Some of the major brands that you see in stores probably were raised on the feed that we produced...Excell, Tyson, Swift, National Beef just to name a few...Sometimes we at the "grunt levels" get to buy some great meat at great prices...I have, in the past, scored prime beef for less than $3/lb...My freezer is usually filled with meat bargains that didn't come from the store...

But my job still sucks... And thank God I have one

Amen to that brutha! Well, that's cool as all hell that you at least get the benefits of picking up meat at grate prices. Working as a printed circuit board designer does NOT give me that benefit...
